Worship is an important part of our witness here in The Douglas Valley. We come together weekly in both of our buildings to celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ. Services generally take place on Sunday mornings unless otherwise advertised.
Douglas: St. Bride’s – 10am
Rigside and Douglas Water – 11.30am
Worship is usually led by an ordained Minister, but occasionally Readers and members of our congregation take a turn to lead us in a time of fellowship. There is always a time for children and young people and passages from scripture are read by elders and members of our congregation. Music is provided by our organists and in Douglas: St. Bride’s we have a small choir.
The sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated in The Douglas Valley Church four times in the year. Please see our ‘News and Events’ page for intimations of communion services, special services and changes to our regular patterns of worship.
