A warm welcome to the website of The Douglas Valley Church (Church of Scotland)! We hope you find your visit both interesting and informative. We can be found nestled in one of the prettiest valleys in South Lanarkshire in Southern Scotland. Our parish is within The Church of Scotland: Presbytery of Lanark and includes the four communities of Douglas, Douglas Water, Glespin and Rigside.
Central to our faith is our love and worship of God through following the teachings and examples of Jesus Christ. We express our love for God through our love and practical care for each other and for those we live with and encounter in our daily lives here in The Douglas Valley.
We believe that worship in our Church is for everybody, regardless of age, nationality, status or ability. Please find a gracious welcome both here and in our Church buildings, Douglas Water and Rigside and Douglas: St. Bride’s.
